Ukulele Star Jake Shimabukuro Performs with Hawaii Youth Symphony

HONOLULU, HAWAII (ISLAND NEWS) The Hawaii Youth Symphony will Host a Cozy Concert with Jake Shimabukuro at Lewers Lounge in the Halekulani Hotel on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Randy Wong, President & CEO of the Hawaii Youth Symphony was on Good Morning Hawaii Saturday talking about gearing up for Jazz Appreciation Month with a “Cozy Concert” at Lewers Lounge. Wong says, “We are so excited to present this exquisite evening of jazz with Hawaii Youth Symphony students and alumni, and ukulele virtuoso, Jake Shimabukuro. It’s going to be a really intimate concert with a limited number of seats, and tickets will include the show along with elevated pupu and beverage offerings. All of our performers are thrilled to have the opportunity to play at Lewers Lounge. It’s such an iconic venue that has become one of the go-to spots for live jazz, featuring both classical acts as well as new jazz talent. The music will be curated by Hawaii Youth Symphony’s Maestro Joseph Stepec and Jazz Director Dean Taba.
