Don’t let parking myths keep you from visiting Chinatown

HONOLULU (KHON2) — People often say there is no parking in Honolulu’s Chinatown, but Chu Lan Shubert-Kwok, business owner and community leaders in Honolulu’s Chinatown, said that simply is not true.

Parking is available throughout the neighborhood, from city garages to private lots, and many options cost far less than people expect.

“So, don’t worry about the parking because the money you save shopping in Chinatown is worth the parking cost,” Shubert-Kwok said. “If you park for an hour or two, it’s less than $2. Some lots even have a $5 flat rate.”…
