Maili Elementary School put on brief lockdown following shooting threat

MAILI, Hawaii (Island News) — Maili Elementary School was placed on lockdown for about an hour on Tuesday morning after a man allegedly called threatening a school shooting.

In a letter Maili Elementary School’s principal Suzie Lee sent to parents and guardians, she said the school received a verbal threat at 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28. The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) was immediately notified about the threat and responded to the campus.
