Horror On Homestead, Rush-Hour Rollover Crash Kills Driver, Slams Traffic In Northeast Houston

A late-afternoon crash between two pickup trucks in northeast Houston left one man dead, another in the hospital, and Homestead Road choked with traffic on Wednesday, according to city police.

The wreck unfolded around 5:20 p.m. in the 9700 block of Homestead Road. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver of a white Dodge Ram dead at the scene, while the driver of a black GMC Sierra was rushed to a nearby hospital.
