The family of a man shot and killed in the doorway of his southwest Houston apartment said Monday that they believe police fired too hastily while responding to an April call about a mental health crisis.
Shazad Gaziani, 49, on April 1 was shot and killed by three police officers at an apartment in the 6300 block of West Bellfort. The officers were among a group responding to a calls about a man armed with a knife and threatening people.
