Thunderstorms rolled across the Lone Star State earlier this week, but now Texas is facing a different kind of misery: thick, oppressive humidity. One local forecaster said the moisture in the air was so intense it might be the worst humidity he has ever seen—a striking description in a state that knows brutal summer weather well.
“This is probably the worst humidity I have ever seen in Texas,” Matt Lanza, meteorologist with Space City Weather posted to X on Thursday afternoon. “A couple of these dewpoints may be overdone, but in general, this is widespread 81-84 type dews with 85-86 in spots.”
