While multiple barbecue joints have been closing across Texas in the past year, one homegrown restaurant could soon be setting its sights on nationwide expansion. It’s setting up to be a major year for Terry Black’s Barbecue. After collecting millions from fans visiting Dallas for the FIFA World Cup, the Austin-born barbecue empire now has three openings to look forward to, and an even greater milestone at the start of 2027.
Terry Black’s Barbecue will officially be open in San Antonio, Houston and New Braunfels by the end of the year and now Black Family Hospitality has revealed their opening dates, according to a news release shared with MySA. San Antonio will get its first taste of Terry Black’s just before Christmas on December 16.
