HOUSTON (CW39) — A man is facing both felony murder and arson charges after a fire at an apartment building overnight in Spring.
Fire investigators said that a man identified as Matthew Atwater set the fire in anger. His brother, Andrew, who was living with him, was taken from the scene to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.

Atwater’s mother also suffered serious injuries in the fire, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.
