TULSA, Okla. – Williams has purchased the 64-story Williams Tower in Houston, a move the Tulsa-based energy company says underscores the city’s importance to its long-term growth strategy.
The company employs about 800 people in Houston, compared with roughly 1,300 employees in Tulsa. A company spokesperson said Houston is critical to Williams’ growth and that, like Tulsa, the Houston headquarters is intended to be a magnet for attracting and retaining talent.
