A fiery and deadly crash has cleared after shutting down a portion of the W. Sam Houston Tollway on Tuesday morning, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 5.
Houston TranStar showed the wreck temporarily closed the W. Sam Houston Tollway southbound lanes at Westpark Tollway near Westheimer at around 3:30 a.m. before all lanes reopened at about 7:17 a.m.
Pct. 5 confirmed to ABC13 that someone died in the crash, adding that it involved a Corvette that was going at a high speed before it lost control and hit the barrier wall. The Corvette was then reportedly hit by an 18-wheeler and caught fire…
