BISMARCK, N.D. (Valley News Live) — A man arrested in North Dakota is now facing eight federal counts in connection with a string of bank robberies in Texas spanning five years.
The FBI Houston division announced Thursday that Jamail White — previously known only as the “Subzero” suspect — is facing federal charges after being accused of robbing several Frost Bank locations at gunpoint from 2021 to 2026.
White was arrested in North Dakota last month. He had already been facing a felony charge in North Dakota after drug task force officers found him with money and 160 fentanyl pills during a search warrant in Bismarck in November 2023. According to court records, White told investigators at the time he had been sent from Texas to Bismarck to traffic and sell fentanyl.
White was identified as the “Subzero” suspect earlier this year after a public tip led investigators to him. He is accused of using a “takeover-style” robbery method, forcing tellers and customers to the ground during the commission of the crimes.
