Longtime Rio Grande Valley anchor Derick Garcia has joined KPRC 2 as an executive reporter for its accountability news team.
Garcia’s move takes him largely off camera after more than a decade in Rio Grande Valley television. At KPRC, he’ll help guide investigative reporting for ENOUGH, the station’s new accountability initiative, which launches Sept. 13.
KPRC announced Garcia’s hiring Wednesday afternoon in a news release and said Garcia will work mostly behind the scenes to “guide and strengthen the team’s investigative reporting.”…
