LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) — Two Texas men were arrested early Friday morning in Lake Charles, after allegedly attempting to steal a vehicle and fleeing from law enforcement officers, officials said.
Trenton J. Sutton, 24, of Rosharon, Texas and Cornelius Jerffers Jr., 28, of Houston, Texas, were charged with two counts of aggravated flight from an officer, attempted theft of a motor vehicle valued at $25,000 or more, criminal property damage between $1,000 and $50,000, and possession of burglary tools.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched at approximately 2:30 a.m. to a report of a vehicle theft in progress at a business on West McNeese Street.
