3 bystanders injured after gunfire follows fight in Midtown, police say

HOUSTON – Three people were injured in a shooting early Sunday after a fight escalated into gunfire in Midtown, according to the Houston Police Department.

The initial shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 400 block of West Gray Street. HPD Lt. Ali said a person involved in the fight began shooting, then got into a vehicle and continued firing while driving along the street.

A woman was struck in one leg and grazed in the other. A man later went to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg, while another man was found several blocks away near West Clay Street and Taft Street with three gunshot wounds to his back, according to police at the scene…
