HOUSTON, TX — Three people were shot Sunday night in a road rage incident that escalated into a crash and gunfire on Houston’s West Loop, according to police. A 7-year-old who was inside one of the vehicles was not hurt.
The Houston Police Department said the confrontation began near I-610 and Ella and ended farther south on I-610 near San Felipe, where an Escalade and a Camaro were found crashed together and riddled with bullet holes. The wreck and shooting shut down the Loop for hours while investigators worked the scene.
Police first said two people had been shot, then later updated that number to three. All of the victims were reported in stable condition.
