Thousands without power in Texas

TEXAS — More than 5,000 customers across Texas are without power Tuesday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the most recent update, 5,404 homes and businesses are reported without electricity, representing about 0.03% of the more than 15.6 million customers tracked statewide. Texas ranked fourth in the nation for total outages, though it ranked lower in overall percentage of customers affected.

Harris County reported the highest number of outages, with 1,441 customers without power. Other impacted areas included San Jacinto County with 1,048 outages and Fisher County with 838. Tarrant County reported 447 outages, while Dallas County had 271 and Montgomery County reported 263…
