HOUSTON — Friends and family gathered for a balloon release in honor of 23-year-old Ashanti Allen, an eight-month pregnant woman who was killed on April 10.
Allen’s mother said she has now been able to view her daughter’s remains and is devastated, saying she cannot give her daughter a proper burial.
