A new 17-story hotel opened this week in downtown Houston, just in time to take advantage of the tourism boost expected from the FIFA World Cup this summer.
The 275-room Holiday Inn Express/Staybridge Suites is situated at 1319 Texas Avenue, about two blocks from Daikin Park.
“The location is prime. You’re a few blocks away from Main Street, where the new Main Street 2.0 is coming in,” said Ali Momin, president of Neway Hospitality, referring to the Main Street Promenade project under construction. “But you’re also walking distance to (Daikin Park), as well as the George R. Brown Convention Center, so ideally the location is next to none.”…
