A man was recorded on video’smirking and smiling’ over the corpse of a deceased teen after the Valentine’s Day shooting, according to a judge.

Two Texas brothers, Enrique and Romeo Aguilar, have been charged in connection with the tragic shooting death of 17-year-old Mariah Alatorre, which occurred after a party on Valentine’s Day in 2026. Enrique Aguilar, 19, faces a charge of murder, while his brother, 18-year-old Romeo Aguilar, is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.

Events Leading to Mariah Alatorre’s Death

The incident unfolded in the early hours of February 14, 2026, at a party on Dagg Road in southeast Houston, where about 300 people had gathered. Police responded to a disturbance call around 12:30 a.m., and as officers arrived, gunshots rang out, and several individuals fled the scene. Mariah Alatorre was among those shot and was rushed out of the party in a friend’s car, ultimately being driven nearly 40 miles north to an urgent care clinic in Cypress before being transferred to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest.
