CYPRESS, Texas — A 19-year-old Houston man died after a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon, April 25th, along Huffmeister Road that involved multiple impacts and ejection, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said Desmond “Desi” Hooks was riding a Honda CBR 600 southbound in the number two lane of the 10400 block of Huffmeister Road at approximately 4:56 p.m. when he failed to maintain a single lane. Authorities said the motorcycle veered across the number three lane and struck a raised concrete median on the west side of the roadway with its front tire.
After the initial impact, the motorcycle continued off the roadway into a grassy area west of the road, rotating clockwise before striking a concrete culvert with its left side. The force of the collision caused Hooks to become airborne and separate from the motorcycle…
