Pedestrian Struck And Killed On Westheimer As Deadly Stretch Claims Another Life

A pedestrian was struck and killed Monday night on a busy stretch of Westheimer Road in west Houston, according to the Houston Police Department. The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. in the 12700 block of Westheimer Road, and the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a 24-year-old woman driving a car involved in the crash was not injured. An unidentified man was later questioned by officers and released. Investigators say the case remains active and open.

According to the official HPD report, a blue Hyundai Sonata was traveling westbound on Westheimer when it struck a pedestrian who was walking in a moving lane of traffic at that location.
