Man indicted after firearms stolen from Decatur pawn shop

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — A man accused of stealing firearms from a pawn shop in Decatur has officially been indicted, according to officials.

The four-count indictment states that Colton McCoy Tubbs, 35, of Oakman, was charged with theft of multiple firearms from a licensee, possession of stolen firearms, felon in possession of a firearm, and interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle.

According to the indictment, Tubbs stole 14 pistols and 2 rifles from Mid-City Pawn in Decatur on February 17, 2026. Officials said that the vehicle Tubbs was driving was reported stolen in Tennessee earlier the same day…
