DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — The Decatur Police Department said two men have been arrested after they stole telecommunications wire by cutting it off the line.
DPD said Bruno Wallace De Oliveira Pereira and Eugenio Soares de Sena were both charged with first-degree theft of property in the case.

The department said it all started on May 18 and May 26, when AT&T filed reports saying that the company’s wiring off of Old Moulton Road SW had been stolen.
Police said officers were then called to Old Moulton Road on June 5, where an AT&T employee said they had seen people in two bucket trucks cutting wire off the lines in the area…
