ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT) — At this point, homeowners on Luke Street are looking to save their homes from further disaster after flooding from the heavy rains has worsened.
They say that the delay for help from Athens City officials to make the repair is not helping.

“We want something done about this,” neighbor Stoney Burkes said. “We’re tired of these ditches overflowing and we’re tired of water destroying our houses and our neighborhood. We really need something done about this.”
