HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A rainy Sunday didn’t dampen the spirits or the impact at the Body of Christ Church on Drake Avenue, the church’s annual community Back-to-School Bash.
The Body of Christ Church transformed its campus into a full-scale Back-to-School Bash to ease the financial burden on local parents. Families arriving at the event were able to gather essential school supplies, visit vendor resources like the NACEE and the YMCA, and even receive complimentary haircuts. In total, volunteers successfully distributed 325 backpacks to local children preparing for the upcoming academic year.
Also volunteering at the event were Lift Our Vote and Indivisible District 5 AL. Though not affiliated with the church, the two organizations came out to show support during their own weekend of “Good Trouble” events…
