HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle wreck involving Geneva County correctional officers that happened on I-565 in Madison County on Tuesday.
The wreck happened just before 1 p.m. near the exit on I-565 headed toward downtown Huntsville.
According to the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office, the correctional officers were on their way to pick up a prisoner at the Madison County Jail when they encountered a sudden stop in traffic. The officers had not yet picked up the prisoner at the time of the wreck…
