Huntsville animal welfare group calls for equal protections for pets of homeless residents

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A local animal welfare group is calling for change to help protect pets belonging to homeless residents in Huntsville.

Members of Notorious D.O.G. say some animals living on the streets are not receiving the same care or protection as pets living in homes, including access to food, water and proper veterinary care. The group is also concerned about rabies vaccinations and proof of ownership for these animals.
