As Madison County continues to add residents, businesses and major federal missions, Sheriff Kevin Turner says his department has been growing with it.
Turner, who is seeking reelection, told 256 Today the Madison County Sheriff’s Office has grown from 138 deputies to 219 and is currently fully staffed, something he considers particularly significant at a time when law enforcement agencies across the state and country have struggled to fill positions.
