Man found guilty of murder in 2024 Huntsville shooting

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A Madison County Jury has found a man guilty of murder for the 2024 killing of a man at a Huntsville Apartment building.

According to court documents, John Torres has been found guilty of the shooting death of Jose Hernandez.

Torres had been charged with murder for shooting and killing Hernandez with a 9 mm handgun at the Valley Bend Apartments in 2024. The shooting took place on Saturday, June 15.
