HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – The family of Ray’Shun Markelle Bates has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Twin Peaks in Huntsville and Jeremiah Matkins, the man accused of fatally shooting Bates inside the restaurant in 2024.
Yolanda Baker and Kamilah Robinson, personal representatives of Bates’ estate, filed the lawsuit on October 2 with the Madison County Circuit Court.
