Airbus demostrates unmanned helicopter for Army consideration

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — As the military pushes to modernize its operations, defense contractors are finding ways to keep people further away from combat.

On Wednesday, Army representatives watched as Airbus demonstrated an unmanned helicopter at the Huntsville Executive Airport.

“With an autonomous aircraft, you’re able to have fewer people that have to be involved with it,” Airbus Aerial Logistics Program Senior Director Jaysen Yochim said.
