HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A 48 First Alert Weather Day is in effect through Thursday for excessive rainfall and possible flash flooding. Be on the lookout for water covering parts of area roads. Waves of showers and a few thunderstorms will continue to track across the area into Thursday afternoon. An additional two inches of rain will be possible into Thursday afternoon. Flooding is harder to see at night and the early morning commute could be a real problem in some areas. Drive with caution.
