Rain and storms are expected tonight, but conditions will trend drier by Easter morning, with cooler weather in store for the next couple of days.
A line of showers, along with a few potentially stronger thunderstorms, is making its way into north Alabama right now. It will continue to push through, affecting the Huntsville metro and areas along the I-65 corridor around 7 PM, and Sand Mountain by 9–10 PM. We’ll continue to see some rain, perhaps a few heavier downpours, throughout the overnight hours, but conditions will trend drier heading into Easter morning, no later than 9 AM. Gusty winds, heavy downpours, and lightning are expected with the strongest storms tonight.
For Easter Sunday, we’ll see drier and noticeably cooler conditions. Highs will drop to the mid-60s, along with breezy conditions…
