Law enforcement allows dismissal at two Huntsville City Schools after being placed on secure perimeter

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Huntsville Jr. High and Blossomwood Elementary School were placed on secure perimeters on Tuesday afternoon due to a police presence in the area, according to Huntsville City Schools spokesperson Craig Williams.

Dismissal was paused until law enforcement gave school leaders the green light to proceed with dismissal procedures for buses and carline.

Williams said as a precaution, students who normally walk home will need to have a parent or guardian come to the schools and pick them up…
