HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Chicken wing lovers, mark your calendars for the ultimate chicken wing festival on Saturday, April 18.
The public is invited to attend the 17th anniversary of the largest philanthropic chicken wing festival in the Southeast, with all proceeds benefiting cancer research. The Battle of the Buffalo will take place at Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville from noon to 5 p.m.
Local leaders will judge restaurants and individual teams for the title of “Best Wings in the Tennessee Valley.” Founded in 2009 by the Theta Pi Chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, this event honors their chicken-wing-loving brother, Paul “Fish” Salmon, who died of leukemia.
