Gas prices all over the country continue to rise—almost to record highs—as one of the busiest travel weekends of the year approaches. National averages for gas this week have reached $4.55 per gallon, and experts project the average could land at $4.80 per gallon from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
In Alabama, the average price per gallon is currently at $4.15.

The national average this time last year was $3.17 per gallon, and $2.75 per gallon in Alabama.
