ARAB, Ala. (WHNT) — The daughter of a longtime Decatur Fire and Rescue lieutenant whose cancer battle rallied community support has died, according to a social media post from the family’s “Team Brooklyn” page.
Brooklyn Williams is Matt Williams’s daughter, and she was diagnosed with grade 4 Diffuse Midline Glioma, an aggressive, fast-growing brain tumor that primarily targets children, in August of 2024. Matt Williams is an over-26-year veteran of Decatur Fire and Rescue.
