MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies now have a new tool aimed at improving officer safety and speeding up drug identification during field investigations.
The device uses a laser to scan unknown substances and measures scattered light to produce a unique chemical “fingerprint” in seconds, allowing deputies to identify potential drugs much faster than traditional testing methods.
