Teen stabs family member, sending her to Indy hospital and him to jail

LAFAYETTE, IN — An 18-year-old Gary man sits in jail Monday without bond and suspected of stabbing a 27-year-old family member several times, sending her to a hospital in Indianapolis, according to Lafayette police and jail records.

Police were called to the 3600 block of Commons Court about 11:05 p.m. Sunday with a report of a stabbing, police said.

Princeric Amari Mullings, of the 4100 block of Johnson Street in Gary, was involved in a disturbance between family members in an apartment in Acorn Acres, police said.
