Curt Cignetti may have eliminated a rival team in the race for 5-star Monshun Sales

Indiana football fans are waiting with bated breath to see where 5-star WR Monshun Sales ends up committing. Ranked as the No. 2 WR and No. 8 overall prospect in the country by Rivals, Sales is the highest-ranked 2027 recruit who has yet to announce his commitment.

Sales hails from Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, and Curt Cignetti has the Indiana Hoosiers well-positioned to land the in-state product. Indiana’s chances look even better when considering the fact that one rival program appears to be fading in the race for Sales’ services.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have been heavily involved in Sales’ recruitment from the very beginning, and at one point were the favorites to win out. Back in December, Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong and Greg Smith logged expert predictions for Kalen DeBoer and Alabama to land Sales. But now, those predictions belong to Cignetti and the Hoosiers while the Crimson Tide are watching their chances to land the coveted prospect dwindle away.
