Selinsgrove Speedway announced that one of the three current track promoters, Colin Rice, will take over as the promoter with Jenna Mowery and Paula Schick departing.
On Monday, August 3rd, Mowery, Schick, and Rice announced in a joint statement that they would no longer be promoting the track past 2027 with the Selinsgrove Fair Association choosing not to renew the lease for 2027 and beyond.
They shared in a post to Facebook, “In November of 2024 when we first met with the Fair Board, we wanted to sign a 3-year contract. At the time, they decided that it would be mutually beneficial to draft a 1-year lease that could be renewed each year at the end of July by both parties. When we met recently, the board informed us that they now wanted to switch to a 3-year deal. We advised them in person that we were not comfortable with switching the lease as the current agreement was working well for us from a business standpoint. At that point we were told that they would discuss and get back to us with their decision. Today is when that decision was sent to us. The Fair Board is requiring a 3-year lease so they are choosing to decline our renewal. We are unsure of the Fair Association’s plans moving forward and request that all questions be directed to them and not our personal messages.”…
