ZIONSVILLE, Ind. — The Zionsville Police Department has arrested a suspect implicated in a July arson case.
Per a release from ZPD, the suspect in question was 17 years old when alleged offense occurred. The individual — whom the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office has identified as a male — turned 18 in the days following the incident.
Initial reports on the incident indicate that a large blaze broke out at a 195 S. Main St. on July 10 after an alleged arsonist set an Israeli flag on fire. The fire caused around $150,000-worth of damage to a building.
The Israeli flag was hanging next to an American flag on the building in question. As it began its investigation, ZPD reported that it would work to determine if the “incident may have been motivated by bias.”
