Storm Damage after Several Rounds of Storms

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Storms have impacted the entire state this week. Thousands of Hoosiers have lost power on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Duke Energy has been working to restore power to those customers who have been impacted. “We constantly have workers on call so we’re always watching the weather and we’re coming up with a plan for how many restoration crews we think we will need,” Dagny Zupin, government and community relations manager for Duke Energy said.

Zupin also says that first, crews need to do damage assessment, as downed trees can impact their work. “When we see power outages the first thing we will do is we will go out and do damage assessment. A lot of times there are tree removals that need to occur before our linemen can even come in and restore power,” she said…
