INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) — Heavy rain drenched central Indiana this week, with some areas receiving more than a foot of water over a three-day period.
The National Weather Service in Indianapolis released rainfall totals Friday afternoon, covering the period from the morning of Tuesday through Friday morning.
Modoc in Randolph County saw the highest total in the region, receiving 12.09 inches of rain by 7 a.m. Friday. Other significant totals happened nearby, including 11.80 inches by 8 a.m. Friday in New Castle and 11.48 inches by 7 a.m. Friday in Springport.
