INDIANAPOLIS — The Hoosier Lottery is offering payouts to 252 people after a Space Invaders-themed lottery ticket misprint caused hundreds to think they’d won a cash prize.
The $5 Space Invaders Cash Invasion Scratch-off was pulled off the shelves in early June due to a “technical issue” that led to many people believing they’d won. One lottery player had their hopes dashed, thinking they’d won the $100,000 grand prize, only to be told their “win” was actually an error.
