A report of large exotic cats in central Indiana turned out to be pigs, sheriff’s officials said on Saturday.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Department said on Thursday it responded to a report of two large exotic felines in the 10000 block of South County Road 50 West. Authorities said a resident reported observing what appeared to be a 300-pound lioness wearing a blue harness and a smaller cub estimated at 100 to 150 pounds.
Deputies from multiple sheriff’s departments and troopers from the Indiana State Police conducted an extensive four-hour search of the area, including using ground units, physical evidence and thermal-imaging drone technology, authorities stated…
