IRS announces tax relief for Hoosiers in counties impacted by severe weather

INDIANA (WNDU) – The IRS has announced federal tax relief will be made available to Indiana residents affected by recent severe storms and flooding.

Taxes originally due on or after August 11 — or before February 1, 2027 — will now have a February 1 filing deadline.

The extension applies to people and business owners in more than 20 Indiana counties, including LaPorte and Pulaski counties…
