Indiana Broadcasters Association inducts six legends into Hall of Fame

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Patty Spitler recently sat down with Dave Arland, president of Arland Communications and executive director of the Indiana Broadcasters Association, to talk about the organization’s 2026 Hall of Fame class and the lasting impact these broadcasting legends have made across Indiana.

Six veteran broadcasters have been inducted into the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame.

The Indiana Broadcasters Association honored its 2026 Hall of Fame class during a celebration at Conner Prairie, recognizing their contributions to radio and television across Indiana.

2026 Hall of Fame inductees

The newest class includes:

  • Tina Cosby: WISH-TV, Urban One
  • Chuck Lofton: WTHR
  • Dr. Joe Misiewicz: WIPB, WBST, Ball State University, Indiana Broadcasters Association
  • Jay “Super Jay” Johnson: WVON, WTLC, WISH, ABC Radio Networks, Urban One
  • Alden Taylor: WAAC, WTHI, WBAK-TV, WTHI-TV, Network Indiana, WTHR, WFYI
  • Scott Wheeler: WIFE, WNDE, WENS, WZPL, WHHH, WTCL
