Indiana University Receives Record $100 Million Gift From Alumni Couple

Indiana University announced today that IU alumni Jeffrey H. and Benita L. Thomasson have given it $100 million, which is the largest donation from a private individual in the institution’s history.

The gift will be used for support of the Kelley School of Business in Bloomington and Indianapolis, and it will also provide new scholarship opportunities for students attending the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy in Indianapolis.
