The Brownsburg Town Council voted 4-0 Sept. 24 to advance a revised rezoning request for a proposed Kroger grocery store and fuel center, moving the project forward after residents spent much of a meeting that lasted more than three hours urging members to reject it.
The vote on first reading of the ordinance came with two new commitments from Kroger: Store hours limited to 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and deliveries limited to 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Second and third readings are expected Oct. 8.
The ordinance amends the Heritage Hill planned unit development and zoning map for about 12 acres at the southwest corner of Green Street and Northfield Drive.
